| one 14 1/2 oz can | No Salt Added whole tomatoes, chopped, with juice |
| 2 T | red wine vinegar |
| 2 t | garlic powder |
| 3 C | homemade beef broth (or low sodium boullion with water) |
| one T | sugar |
| one T | leaf basil, crushed |
| one | bay leaf |
| to taste | freshly ground black pepper |
| to taste | leaf oregano, crushed or other herbs and spices |
Combine ingredients in medium saucepan and bring to a boil
Reduce and simmer at least 10 minutes, longer if you like
Like chili, this is better the second day
