SHALLOTS
Shallots are like a combination of garlic and onion in one little package. You use them just like you would onions and garlic but usually in smaller amounts. The left photo shows an American shallot peeled and one unpeeled (how they look at the grocery store). The right photo shows a peeled shallot close up.
