PEELING & SEEDING TOMATOES

Fill 2-quart saucepan 3/4 full of water. Over high heat, bring to boil. Using slotted spoon, lower tomato into boiling water for exactly 10 seconds. Using slotted spoon, remove tomato. Immediately place in or under cold water to stop cooking process before it softens tomato.

Core tomato as shown in the next 3 photos to remove stem and toughest part of tomato.

This also gives a place to start peeling the tomato.

Using small paring knife, grasp peel at top between thumb and knife, and pull gently. Continue peeling until done.

Cut tomato in half - be sure to cut it the way shown in photo above!

Maneuver the seeds out however you like. Be careful not to rip the outside tomato "wall" if you need complete tomato "halves."

Tomatoes are now ready to chop any way you want. No seeds, no peel, and can be used raw or can be cooked.
