Interesting Poll From Doctors Online

A poll was run by Medscape (medscape.com) to doctors only.
The question was:

"Given a choice, as a clinician, would you rather your patients'
families were 'involved' in (asking questions, pointing out
changes in status) or 'accepting' of (rarely asking questions,
assuming the clinician knows best) the care their relatives
receive?

The results follow:

Involved = 69%  (2121)

Accepting = 3%  (111)

Depends on individual case = 27%  (830)

Total Responses = 3062

Interesting. Maybe informed patients are making their presence
felt in the medical community at last. Be educated. Be involved.
It matters.
