Jon, January 12, 2015 This site's future
Jon, January 12, 2015 - Thank you for listening and reaching into all too hard-pressed pockets. We actuallly got enough donations not to need our own family funds to operate this site! Truly, thank you, especially those who have always given. The site will remain online for at least another year.
I will be emptying the heart failure specialists listing, resetting the form, and restarting an up-to-date listing as soon as I can. Please note that only doctors' practices themselves can list - you cannot list your doctor for him! Thank lawyers for that.
I will then be cleaning up dead links for probably 5 months afterward (if I can, I may need a script that I have no idea how to write) and have taken down all the bios and such, as well as info too-out-of-date to be useful. My dragon software - not the kind you see on television - shows signs of tracking and obeying me despite daily changes in my voice, so maybe I can put up an e-mail address again some time this year. After that, and before, only God knows what I'll be doing.
Personally, I have not seen anything breaking in CHF treatment since I stopped updating the site but I could be wrong. I will say that medical devices (like pacemakers) are being used in patients who don't need them right and left; and the lipids levels being touted are completely wrong, especially if you have CHF.
Linda, January 3, 2016 Announcement, Jon died October 23, 2015
Linda, January 3, 2016 -CHFpatient friends, Jon went home to the Lord on October 23, 2015. He is greatly missed. His death was not heart failure related. We have no plans as of this time for the website. Even without the active message board, we have found that the information on this site is still of great value to people with heart failure and caregivers. I will post more information if the status of the website will be changing. God bless you all.
