Neck Curls for your neck
neck exercises neck exercises
This strengthens an often ignored area - your neck. Over time, this will make all lifting and carrying chores easier. It also makes it easier to get up and down from chairs and beds.

Do this standing, with a cable system or a reliable homemade neck machine. Using a strong neck strap with its widest part at the back of your head, slowly tilt your head back in a natural arc as far as you can without excessive strain. Slowly return to the starting position.

If this is too difficult, do some resistance training for your neck without weights for awhile first.
