| This strengthens your entire chest and also your shoulders, so it improves your ability to carry objects, push things, and pick up and lower things. If you only do one exercise for your chest, this should be it. This movement is exactly what you would do if you hugged a tree. Focus on that image as you do this exercise. How do you get the dumbbells into starting position safely? See this page. At first, don't start with the dumbbells too low in relation to your body. As you get comfortable with it, start with the dumbbells lower in relation to your shoulder level. This does not require heavy weights to get results. |
