Dumbbell Bench Press for your chest

This strengthens your chest and shoulders, so it improves your ability to squeeze things together with your hands, pick up things, push things like vacuum cleaners, etc.
 
Lie on a flat weight bench with your feet on the floor and your head supported by the bench. How do you get the dumbbells into that position safely? See this page.
 
Keep your shoulder blades "scrunched" together somewhat to get more effect on the chest. Keep your lower back in contact with the bench.
 
The idea is to push the weight straight up from the starting position.

Dumbbell bench presses allow different hand positions. Every 2 months or so, switch to a different "version." It improves your progress.
 
Be sure to push straight up!
