I was born and raised in northern New Jersey. Schooling included an English Major and Humanities Minor. Have been a secretary, administrative assistant and personnel administrator. I recently retired due to dilated cardiomyopathy and am happy at home. My son is currently in school and my daughter Amy lives in sunny California. She works in the fitness industry. Our dog Noelle was our 1996 Christmas present from Amy.
I had a PCP who said not to worry even though I felt faint and things got dark, associated with palpitations. As long as there was no pain, he felt I was fine. After being tired and short of breath and almost passing out a few more times a month, I changed doctors. You got it -- I had DCM, MVR, PVC and an EF of 29%. I had a hospital bout with Atrial Fib in June of 1997 but fortunately my heart rhythm returned to sinus in 24-36 hours. I have no congestion or pain as yet. <g>
My Rx meds are Prinivil, Zebeta, Prozac for depression, and Premarin for those wonderful hot flashes. My supplements are CoQ10, Multicap, E, C, & Stress Tab.
I enjoy reading and love to putter in the garden. We have a perennial garden on the side of our home and it is getting bigger and bigger. I also incorporate a few herbs and annuals. We feed the birds and squirrels and are looking forward to putting in a pond garden next year complete with fish. I also do crafts and occasionally set up a table at Craft Fairs. I enjoy all this computer technology but don't always "get it!" I enjoy surfing anyway and keeping in touch with all of you at The Beat Goes On. Ron and I like to do a little traveling and both of us would like to retire in Utah or Colorado.

March 9, 2001 - I retired in 1998. My son is in New Jersey and my daughter is in California. Our pond has become a reality with some pretty fantails, calicos, one small koi and various frogs and waterlilies. I now have a web site at http://www.geocities.com/msleeroush.
