I was a police officer in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Texas area. I have had 6 MIs, 9 angioplasties, CAD, CABG (bypass surgery), WPWS, and of course CHF. I am also an ex-smoker.

I praise God that I am alive and able to be here for my kids. I walk at the health club and spend a lot of time fighting Social Security. I also spend a lot of time on the computer and plan to become a web designer. I also plan to outlive my doctors and to have a great future so that my best friend Carol will not be afraid to say yes when I ask her.
Before getting CHF, my hobbies were piloting, plasying soccer and golf, and doing woodworking. I was a volunteer pilot for the "Make a Wish Foundation" and for "Life Flight." We flew critically ill kids to see Christmas lights from above and transported organs donated by loving people. I miss doing this more than anything.
I used to be angry about all this but a good friend told me all God does is good. So now I will live a long life and make every day count. I mean to be happy and scratch my head and try to figure out what God wants me to do; like a lot of other people.
