Jon 8-20     software is coming along

Jon 8-31     timetable and plans for this forum

Jon, August 7, 2007 - Hi all, my speech software arrives Wednesday complete with required hardware so I start familiarizing myself with it then. I hope that within a couple of weeks, I'll be good enough to restart the forum and a month after that to start updating other pages again. My EF has dropped 20% by echo so I am now interviewing CHF specialists as well.
To the few who continued to donate every month, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's been my only income. My phone interview with SSD is this afternoon and I already have the application ready with all but the medical records, which they usually order. Please pray I get Disability so I can make enough money to keep this site going, along with donations.
Thanks again for your patience. At least you know that I do know how it feels to be really sick and disabled so we retain common ground on which to talk. Jon.

Jon, August 20, 2007 - Hi Everybody, this is very complicated software. However, I am actually using it right now to write this post. It will take some time before I am able to use the software adequately. As I become more familiar with the software, it will be well worth the money spent, and I thank all of you for your donations. I honestly believe that I will be able to run the entire website quite well with the software in the long run. On the other hand, the learning curve is ferocious, so bear with me. Jon.

Jon, August 31, 2007 - Hi everybody, I am far enough along to plan forum scheduling now. In roughly 10 days, I will start the forum back up, but will only post messages every other day for about 2 weeks while I get the hang of it with the speech software. The alternate days I will continue writing my own instruction manual and will continue adding custom speech commands specifically for the HTML I use to write these pages.
So don't give up. Know that according to a 10-year veteran salesman of this software, I am learning to use 50 to 70% more of its true functionality than most of his customers and that's why it's taking so long (even though I am actually learning it quickly compared to most users). Hang in there.
When restarting the message board, I will discard posts that are out of date as far as content but will put up old ones for which answers may still help the poster. By the way, my EF has dropped from 55% to 43% by MUGA, and I start IV therapy for my rheumatoid arthritis next month, so there are reasons I'm not getting the heart forum up faster. Bear with me.
To those who have continued to donate, may God bless you. I only make 300 dollars a month now and only if we get enough donations to cover that while maintaining a set company bank account balance. I have filed for Social Security Disability but we all know how long that can take. Jon.
